I am a senior specialist and award-winning Speech and Language Therapist. I work in the UK, have previously worked in the National Health Service, and now work solely as an Independent Therapist.
I have my own private practice which enables me to offer more flexibility and availability for children, their families and schools/preschools. I always work closely with a range of professionals to support children. I am passionate about Speech and Language Therapy and supporting children’s communication skills. As well as my professional life as a Speech and Language Therapist, I am married and am a mother of two children. Since having my own children, I have developed my practice to reflect what
I would look for as a parent, and I provide a Speech and Language Therapy service that is flexible, fits around family life and is tailored to each child. I work very closely with parents and work with children aged just under 2 years old through to 11 years old. Communication is the foundation life skill on which children learn, achieve and make friends, and is the most important yet complex skill a child has to master. Most children acquire good communication skills effortlessly, but some do not, and many require the services of a Speech & Language Therapist. Each child’s difficulty will be different – but left untreated their needs can significantly limit their potential.
