The district explains separate steps for private school, homeschool, ECI transitions and children not enrolled in school.

Germantown, Houston
Germantown Historic District is east of Woodland Heights, between Houston Avenue, Interstate 45 and Woodland Park. The city’s district profile explicitly includes Woodland Park in the historic district.
The modern historic district is smaller than the old farming area once called Germantown. Its residential streets and Woodland Park give it a distinct identity. The city lists the park at 212 Parkview. Use that address for the public destination rather than treating nearby homes as visitor sites.
You can talk about where your child wants to pause outdoors. A point can show a choice. Put a short phrase to that meaning, then wait. Later, a picture book can help you return to the same idea at home.
Carnegie Neighborhood Library & Center for Learning is at 1050 Quitman Street. This is a separate Houston library option. Check the library visit information before pairing it with Woodland Park, or choose only one destination.
For a child under age 3, use the Texas Early Childhood Intervention finder. Search by city, county or ZIP, then ask a listed program to confirm it serves your home address.
For a child age 3 or older, confirm the school district for your home address. Ask its special education team about a speech evaluation. Houston ISD serves only part of Houston.
You can also discuss your concerns with your child’s healthcare provider. Speech Blubs offers home practice. A local professional or public service can explain the evaluation process. The app does not provide an evaluation or replace therapy.
