I have been using Speech Blubs with an apraxic student and some students that are “limited verbal” autistic. The student who has apraxia also has severe behavior so for the last two years I haven’t been able to get much out of him. With this app, he has been participating the entire session! Thank you!!!
I use this with young apraxia kiddos and my severe intelligible students and they love it. I love using thing as a warm up or a reinforcer.
So far, I've been using the app with my nonverbal and minimally verbal students, as well as those with more severe apraxia of speech. So far, I've been very impressed with the responses that I'm getting. One of my nonverbal students has become much more vocal following the use of this app! Thanks for the great app!
I am a speech language pathologist I have only had Speech Blubs for about a week. I have used it with preschool apraxia patients and moderate to severely handicapped children who are working on imitation and articulation. The students seem interested so far. Thank you for the free app. I do think it will be a useful tool.
I use this with a student that has articulation errors, aprexia, Autism, and general speech delays. They enjoy seeing the other children on the app and that add feature of seeing their own face is amazing. Brings a smile every time! Love it! Thank you for making speech fun!
I use this app with my students with articulation disorders and apraxia at the preschool level. So far, I love it!
I use Speech Blubs with kids with Apraxia, expressive language delays, social/pragmatic difficulties, as well as for rewards at the end of sessions. My kids absolutely love it and so do I. I use it frequently during my day! I have recommended it to other SLP’s too.
I use speech Blubs with my children with articulation difficulties, apraxia of speech, and with the kids that benefit from a visual model of how to produce sounds and words. The children enjoy speech blubs and like to see when different item or filter is going to appear when they get to practice the sound.
So far I am only using Speech Blubs with a 2 year, 6 month old child with diagnosed apraxia of speech. She likes to choose the shapes. The parent loves the reward stickers and animation!
I use the app with preschoolers and school age children with apraxia, orofacial myofunctional disorders, or limited verbal output. They enjoy the filters and tapping the stickers to see the pictures or video clips. It's great for little ones who aren't using many words yet; they are attracted to the fun nature of the app and are willing to attempt to imitate. I use the Mouth Gym for many kids to improve oral awareness.
One child I see, who has Apraxia of Speech, has made great progress with this app in just two sessions. Tips are to use in with play using the models to help and then incorporating silly play with the filters. Thank you for allowing me to use this app. I have really enjoyed it and it is very helpful.
I use this with a student that Apraxia. My students are excited to do short bursts of work on the app. They typically are excited and enjoy seeing the other children on the app and that feature of seeing their own face is amazing. Brings a smile every time! Love it! Thank you for making speech fun and providing this great resource to my students.
I am an SLP who works with children aged 1-7 with Apraxia, and a range of speech-language disorders and delays. My kids love this app! It has helped with both oral motor imitation and speech sound imitation and production. It is very fun and engaging and keeps them motivated. Thanks for making this app for me! I use it almost daily!
I use speech Blubs with my students with apraxia. I’ve just started using it. But I see higher engagement in practicing speech sounds with my students with autism. Thank you for your work and making this app. It makes a huge difference.
I use Speech Blubs with preschoolers with articulation/phonology deficits and preschoolers diagnosed with apraxia of speech. I have just recently gotten the app, but so far response is pretty good.
I use Speech Blubs to help model some words and oral movements during my sessions. I get positive imitations and children really enjoy it. Children often learn better with child models and one child I see, who has Apraxia of Speech, has made great progress with this app in just two sessions. Thank you for allowing me to use this app. I have really enjoyed it and it is very helpful.
I am using your app in my speech therapy sessions at a private clinic. I have used it with 2 clients so far - one boy with apraxia and asd and one with a phonological disorder. The app has been a fun therapy resource to have in my toolkit and the children have found the video modelling motivating.
I use the app with my preschool students with Apraxia, and ASD. They enjoy seeing the children and themselves on the screen. They are more willing to participate in imitation tasks.
I'm psychologist and my clinic is for kids with speech apraxia, and that's why I downloaded the app. Until now, I used with 3 kids during the therapy and it was amazing see them trying to imitate the sounds and the movements with the tongue and mouth. They have fun while playing with the app, and I can interact with them by showing how we can do it, and contextualizing in our play context. I'm very thankfull!!!
This app has been great. I work with preschool children age 3-6 who have a variety of needs. Some have apraxia or have significant expressive/receptive language delays. So far I've been using it with my preschool students to work on imitating and identifying/labeling animals. The kids get a kick out of seeing themselves as animals and will generally imitate more when they see themselves as the actual animal. Very cute app!
I use this app with my K-5 students with diagnos of apraxia. My students love this app. All students love to watch themselves. About half of my students verbally imitated during the app.
